Micromilling is the process by which additional cutting bits are added to a standard milling drum to create an ultra fine milling pattern.  The fine pattern left by the micromilling process can have numerous advantages.  It creates a smoother surface that can be left exposed to the traveling public and provide a safer traveling surface than a traditional milling operation.  It can also be beneficial when used in conjunction with any type of thin overlay, slury application, chipseal application or similarly thin asphalt surface treatments.
